Yesterday the mountains received 2-3” of snow near West Yellowstone and Cooke City, and a trace to 1” elsewhere. Wind has been west-southwest at 5-15 mph with gusts to 25 mph. This morning temperatures are single digits F. Today temperatures will reach low 20s F under mostly sunny skies, and wind will be out of the west-southwest at 10-20 mph. The next chance for snow is late Tuesday.

Since yesterday morning the mountains picked up 1-2” of new snow. At 5 a.m. temps range from the single digits to low teens F and winds are blowing 5-15 mph out of the west-northwest. Today, the mountains near Cooke City could see an additional 1-2” of new snow while the rest of the forecast area remains dry. Highs today will warm into the upper teens to low 20’s F under partly to mostly cloudy skies and winds remain light to moderate out of the west. No significant snow accumulation is expected tonight or tomorrow.

Over the past 24 hours the mountains around Bozeman and Big Sky picked up 1-2” of new snow while the mountains around West Yellowstone and Cooke City picked up 3-5”. This morning, snow has tapered off and temps are in the teens to low 20’s F under mostly cloudy skies. Winds are blowing 10-20 mph out of the west-southwest. Highs today will climb into the mid to upper 20’s F and winds will remain light to moderate out of the west-southwest. Snow returns this afternoon and the mountains should see 4-6” by tomorrow morning.

Around Bozeman and Big Sky 1” of snow fell early yesterday morning while the areas around West Yellowstone and Cooke City received 3-5” yesterday and last night. Temperatures at 5 a.m. are in the mid-20s and winds are southwest at 10-15 mph with gusts of 20-30 mph. Today will be mostly cloudy and mountain temperatures may rise to above freezing as winds remain the same. Scattered snowfall this afternoon and tonight will drop 1-2” in the north and 3-4” in the south.

At 5 a.m. 1-2” has fallen in the Bridger Range and Hyalite, and 3-4” in Big Sky, West Yellowstone and Cooke City. Winds are averaging 10-20 mph with gusts of 30 mph from the southwest to southeast and northeast in the Bridger Range. Mountain temperatures are in the high teens. Scattered snowfall will continue and by morning there will be 2-4” around Bozeman and 4-6” everywhere else. Winds will blow southerly at 15-25 mph and temperatures will remain in the teens.

This morning there is no new snow and mountain temperatures are in the single digits above and below zero F. An inversion has valley temperatures in the negative teens F. Winds have been light, out of the south in the southern ranges and west-northwest in the northern ranges and Cooke City. Today temperatures will reach the high teens and low twenties F, and winds will be southwest-west at 5-15 mph. Snow tonight will bring 1-3” by tomorrow morning.

The mountains did not receive any snow in the last 24 hours. Wind has been 0-15 mph out of the north-northwest in the southern ranges and Cooke City, and west-northwest near Bozeman and Big Sky. This morning temperatures are single digits below to 20 below zero F. Today temperatures will reach single digits to low teens above zero F, and wind will be west-northwest at 5-15 mph. The next chance for snow is late Tuesday.

Since yesterday morning no snow fell in the mountains. This morning temperatures are teens below zero F in the mountains near Bozeman, and single digits above and below zero F elsewhere. Wind is 0-10 mph out of the west-northwest, and in the Bridger Range wind is east-southeast. Today temperatures will reach single digits to low teens above zero F, and wind will be northerly at 0-10 mph. The next chance for snow is Tuesday night.

Since yesterday morning the mountains picked up 1-3” of new snow. Additional accumulation is unlikely today as cold-dry air moves over the region. At 5 a.m. temperatures are 10-15 below zero F in the Bridger Range and single digits above zero F elsewhere. Winds are blowing 10-30 mph out of the west-northwest. Today, highs will barely warm into the teens F and winds will remain light to moderate out of the west-northwest. No real snow accumulation is expected over the next 24 hours.

Over the past 24 hours the mountains picked up 4-7” of new snow. At 5 a.m. snow has tapered off and skies are beginning to clear. Temps are in the single digits F and winds are blowing 15-35 mph out of the west-northwest. Today, skies remain partly to mostly cloudy and temps warm into the teens. Winds will continue to blow 15-30 mph out of the west-northwest. The mountains could see 1-2” of snow tonight, but snowmageddon appears to be letting up for the next few days.
